Super SUS: A True Crime Podcast

The Mysterious Disappearance of Jennifer Kesse (pt. 1)

Ande Breunig & Amethyst Cannady Episode 63

In this episode of Super SUS, we begin our deep dive into the disappearance of Jennifer Kesse, a 24-year-old professional who vanished from her Orlando, Florida condo in January 2006.

Jennifer was last heard from the night before she disappeared, after speaking with her boyfriend. The following morning, she failed to show up for work—a rare occurrence—and concern quickly escalated. When her family checked her condo, they found signs of a normal morning routine, but Jennifer was gone. Her car was missing as well.

Two days later, the vehicle was located at a nearby apartment complex, about a mile from her home. Surveillance footage captured an unidentified individual parking the car and walking away—one of the most haunting and frustrating pieces of evidence in the case.

Part 1 focuses on who Jennifer was, the early hours after she vanished, and the initial investigation as law enforcement worked to piece together what might have happened. We explore early theories, unanswered questions, and the unsettling clues that would come to define one of Florida’s most enduring missing-person cases.
